| MA Stadium swimming pool lying unused | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Feb18: It was supposed to provide platform for young swimmers of Jammu and Kashmir, mega swimming pool inaugurated last year near M.A Stadium is still locked.
Thanks to the apathetic administration and management, most of the water lovers have to return back dejected, whenever they approach the management for registration. Sources said that construction is still going on and the swimming pool would be made functional this year. Swimming season of the state is between May to September and still there is no new swimming pool in the M.A Stadium.
“If the authorities would open the swimming pool for full session, it will do a world of good for us. We can utilize most of our time for the crucial practice ahead of important competitions”, said a budding swimmer. Parents of the swimmers on the other hand are also in favour of the opening of swimming pool for full year.
