| Shabir Shah detained in Hazratbal | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Srinagar, Feb 18: The Democratic Freedom Party chairman, Shabir Ahmad Shah, was injured on Friday when police baton charged the procession he was leading from Hazratbal shrine.
Reports said Shah alonwgwith his dozens of associates tried to take a protest march from Hazartbal shrine after conclusion of Friday prayers. However, police swung into action and didn’t allow them to move on. But when people defied the orders, police used batons to disperse them in which Shah was injured. Shah alongwith his dozens of associates were later taken into custody by the police.
