Srinagar receives lion and lioness Scouts and Guides

JAMMU, Feb 18: It was a festive look in the interior parts Srinagar when thousands of scouts and guides reached Srinagar from here after their successful participation during seven days in mega Campuree-2011.
They reached Srinagar during mid night where their parents, relatives and inhabitants of their areas received them with jubilation.
The Campuree, which was organized by J&K Scouts and Guides at Jammu, J&K Chapter of All India Boys Scouts concluded here today.
Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah appreciated the Campuree-2011 and personally invited thousands of Scouts and Guides who attained the title of ‘Lions Scouts & Lioness Guides’ in Compuree-2011 were personally invited by him at his residence and delivered address to them. He interacted with them individually and collectively and majority of them were from Srinagar.
He advised them to build up their future and concentrate on their studies so that they become our IAS, KAS officers, doctors and engineers.
The Chief Commissioner, Scouts and Guides, Kh. Farooq Renzushah, Prof Parry, Sr. Commissioner, Training, Nazir Ahmed Nazir Yousuf Manzar, Ratish Kapoor, Tarun Behl, Punit Kumar and other personalities stayed alongwith them in the camp and guided them on different intellectual and sports activities.
In the Campuree, five thousand scouts and guides presented most impressive March Past and other scouts skills which received all round appreciation. Both scouts from Kashmir and Jammu proved their success in the Compuree, thousands of scouts received awards and certificates.
Large number of cabinet Ministers including Minister for Education, Peerzada Mohammad Sayeed, Minister for Forest and Environment, Mian Altaf Ahmed, Minister for Revenue, Relief and Rehabilitation, Raman Bhalla, Advisor to Chief Minister, Mubarak Gul, Political Advisor to Chief Minister, Devinder Singh Rana and Director General of Police, Kuldeep Khoda were present on the occasion.
