| GDC Udhampur organises Tree Talk campaign | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Udhampur, Feb 19: Department of Botany of Govt. Degree College ( boys) Udhampur organised an environmental awareness campaign titled Tree Talk in which renowned and senior IFS, officer O.P. Sharma Vidyarthi interacted with the students and staff on various medicinal plants.
He also related various plants with local myths and traditions to highlight their cultural significance.
The programme began in the botanical garden of the college which later on shifted its venue in the conference hall where many talks on various issues of ecological importance were delivered by eminent tree lovers disseminating the message to know, understand, love and conserve the rich biodiversity which is the lifeline of the State.
