JAMMU, Feb 19: A two-day Invitational Karate Championship, organised by Shito Ryu Seiko Kai Karate Do Association Jammu and Kashmir in collaboration with Universal Martial Art Academy, got underway today at Indoor Complex, MA Stadium, here.
The competition was declared open by Superintendent of Police (CID), Rajinder Gupta, who was chief guest in the opening function. Director Luthra College of Education, Rajiv Luthra presided. Prominent among others present were Anil Gupta, Shiv Kumar Chauhan (DySP), international cricketer, Surinder Singh Bagal and Rajan Sharma.
Earlier, president of the Association, Ambedkar Gupta welcomed the distinguished gathering and encouraged the participants.
