| Ganderbal police solve murder case | | Accused arrested | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Srinagar, Feb 19: Police on Saturday arrested three persons in connection with a murder case in Ganderbal district.
The Superintendent of Police Ganderbal, Imtiyaz Hussain said that the accused trio had hatched a criminal conspiracy to eliminate Feroz Ahmad Dar to avenge the enmity arising out of extra marital affair and subsequent suicide by one Gulshana wife of Fayaz Ahmad Khan of Wussan some three months back.
The accused, Mushtaq Ahmed Sheikh son of Abdul Salaam, Fayaz Ahmad Khan son of Abdul Karim and Tawseef Ahmad Sheikh son of Ghulam Hassan, according to police, have confessed of killing Feroz Ahmad Dar son of Ghulam Mohammad of Sheikhpora Wussan.
Feroz’s body was found lying near Nallah Sindh adjacent to the main road leading towards Kangan on January 20 by the police. “The body bore violence marks and it was evident that the deceased had been murdered. Accordingly an FIR No.08/2011 U/S 302 RPC was registered in Police Station Ganderbal and investigation was taken up. During the course of investigation and subsequent evidence into the matter, the involvement of three persons in the commission of the crime got established,” the SP said.
“Mushtaq and Tawseef killed Feroz in lieu of money promised to them by Fayaz. During the course of investigation it was found that some three months before Gulshana committed suicide after her husband and father in law came to know about her alleged affair with one Riyaz Ahmad Dar brother of deceased Feroz. Thereafter Fayaz Khan husband of the lady decided to take revenge but however could not eliminate Riyaz as he considered it difficult to kill him.
Therefore, as per his confession he decided to kill his brother Feroz who was a bus conductor by profession and an easy target. He hired the services of Mushtaq and Tawseef. The trio jointly planned and conspired about the murder of Feroz. Mushtaq and Tawseef were promised by Fayaz Ahmad to be paid Rs.10000 and Rs 2000 respectively for commission of the crime,” he added.
The murder case was solved on the basis of scientific and oral evidence by a Police team headed by SI Masrat Ahmad of P/S Ganderbal under the supervision of Dy SP Hqrs. Ganderbal.
