In a meeting held here under the president ship of State Secy Anil Parihar thread band discussions were held over the state of heath facilities in the district . Parihar criticized government for not providing proper staff which include specialists and other facilities such as CT Scan to the hospital due to which in majority of cases in emergency patients are being referred to GMC Jammu and number of patients die on way while shifting. Lamenting the state government’s policies for the public health sector, JKNPP leader said that callous attitude of the authorities is evident from the fact that out of total sanctioned strength of 18 doctors only eight are working. He added that out of 80 pharmacist posts in district only 49 are running the affairs. Same is the position of other staff. He demanded CT scan facilities in the hospital on priority basis as there is no such facility in Govt hospital from Kishtwar to Jammu.
