| Mother India, NTSHI Society organizes eye check-up camp | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Feb 19: Mother India and NTSHI Society collectively organized a free eye check up camp in technical collaboration with the Department of Ophthalmology, Government Medical College (GMC), Jammu, at a border village Bega of tehsil RS Pura. SDM, RS Pura, Ashwini Khajuria, was the chief guest on the occasion and RK Mengi, HOD, Department of Ophthalmology, GMC, Jammu, was the Guest ofHonour. Near about 225 patients turned up in the camp and got their eyes checked free of cost. 14 patients were identified for the cataract operation, who will be operated at GMC,Jammu. Speaking on the occasion SDM Ashwini Khajuria appreciated the role of MOTHER INDIA and NTSHI in serving the society. He said that these types of camps provide the health services at the door steps of the general masses, which is a real service to the society. Dr RK Mengi, also encouraged the volunteers of the NGOs and promised to provide every help to them in organizing such camps.
Senior Congress leader, Mohan Singh, BMO RS Pura, Basant Sharma, SDPO, RS Pura, SHS Gill, SHO RS Pura, Gurmeet Singh were the special guests on the occasion. Ch. Raj Kumar Smotra, President Mother India and Naresh Sabharwal,
President NTSHI Society presided over the function.
