| AKWF to boycott Kissan Mela on Feb 21 | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Feb 19: All Kissan Welfare Federation (AKWF) has decided to boycott the Kissan Mella at MA Stadium on February 21.
Addressing the media persons, Chief Patron AKWF K K Proch said that the state government is organizing the Kisaan Mela for teaching how to use to utilize the modern technique equipments in farming and stated that the Mela is completely frauds. The concerned department is not provided seeds and fertilizers well in time and organizing such mela is completely misusing of funds sanctioned for them. He further said that the farmers were facing a lot of problems including seeds, fertilizers and pesticides bedsides other related things. He also mentioned Government failed ] to provide wheat seeds despite the season is running out. The State Kissan Mela totally fraud and eyewash , he added. He also appealed the Kissan bodies in State to boycott the Mela and appealed to provide seeds well in time to farmers for new crop.
