| Media men attacked at Gandhi Nagar | | | EARLY TIMES REPORTER

In a yet another blow to the freedom of press, two media men were attacked in the Gandhi Nagar area here today. Those injured in the attack were Satish Verma of Sahara Samay and Anupam Malhotra of JK channel. Both of them received serious injuries on head and other parts of the body. Police immediately came into action and arrested the culprits.
According to reports, both the media men were working on the story of a woman, Ambika wife of Rajeev Langer of Gandhi Nagar, who is being harassed by her in laws. When both of them visited her house, her in laws gets infuriated and manhandled them. Father-in-law of the woman attacked with steel rod and injured them seriously. They were immediately shifted to the Gandhi Nagar Hospital. Entire media of J&K state has condemned the attack on these media men and demanded stern action against the culprits
