Shabir, Madan launch PIB campaign, inaugurate grand exhibition

RAJOURI, Feb 19: Public Information Campaign organized by Press Information Bureau, Government of India under Flagship Programme to create awareness regarding centrally sponsored schemes was launched here today. Minister of State for Power, Shabir Ahmed Khan and Member Parliament, Madan Lal Sharma launched the campaign. This is the 18th awareness campaign of such kind launched by PIB during the current financial year at different places. Minister of State for Power, Shabir Ahmed Khan and Member Parliament Madan Lal Sharma also inaugurated a grand Exhibition-cum-Public Mela wherein a total of 38 stalls of various government departments were exhibited to showcase their products. On the occasion, both the dignitaries went around various stalls setup by different
departments aimed at awaring the people about their respective welfare and development programme. Speaking on the occasion, the Minister and MP directed the officers to create massive awareness among the people of rural and border areas
regarding different state and centrally sponsored schemes meant for their socio-economic development. They also appealed the people to take maximum benefits from governmental programmes and to participate in all the developmental works being executed in their respective
areas. Referring to various development works being taken up in Rajouri district, the Minister said that Rs.28 crore are being spent on various development programme under MG-NREGA besides a number of schemes worth crores are also being executed in various areas of the district.
