| Govt to take action against businessman for forging PRC | | |
Jammu, Feb 19:
The government would initiate criminal proceedings against a businessman in Kathua for allegedly forging his permanent resident certificate (PRC).
The PRC of Krishan Lal of Kathua was fake and all benefits obtained by him on its basis had been cancelled and withdrawn forthwith, Kathua district magistrate Zahida Khan said.
Criminal proceedings would be initiated against him for producing forged documents, she added.
PRCs were only issued to the residents of Jammu and Kashmir and no one from other states of the country could seek it.Krishan had succeeded in getting a PRC by way of fraudulent means in 1979, Zahida informed. |
