JAMMU, February 20: Organised by Shito Ryu Seiko Kai Karate Do Association Jammu and Kashmir, in collaboration with Universal Martial Art Academy, the two-day State Invitational Karate Championship concluded at Indoor Complex, M A Stadium, here today.
The event, contested mostly by the young karatekas, held under the supervision and technical guidance of Ambedkar Gupta, president of the association and Amit Sangra.
Member Legislative Assembly (MLA), Chaman Lal Gupta was chief guest in the prize distribution function, who gave away medals to the winners of different categories.
Rajeev Luthra, Rajan Sharma, Sajjad Mufti (DFO), Sanjeev Dewan and Chander Mohan were among others present.
In all, over 200 boys and girls participated in this two-day long competition.

BOYS: Below 11 yrs: Ansh Mahajan, Ist; Rakshit Shali, 2nd; Shubam Gupta and Amritanshu Gupta, joint third. Below 12 yrs: Nityam Verma, Ist; Arjun Sharma, 2nd and Harsh Sharma, 3rd. Below 13 yrs: Ishant Sagoch, Ist; Karan Walia, 2nd; Aman Malhotra and Jasveer Singh, joint 3rd. Below 14 yrs: Deepak Thappa, Ist; Sagar Bhan, 2nd; Satyam Mahajan and Shubam Sharma, joint third. 15-16 yrs: Abhishek Sharma, Ist and Sadat Mutfi, 2nd. Above 16 yrs: Jagira, Ist; Mangal Kumar, 2nd; Salkhan Singh and Mir Abid Hussain, joint third.
