| Motivational Tour for elderly people organized under Operation Sadhbhawana | | |

Udhampur, 20 Feb: A motivational tour of elderly people of Udhampur District to Jaipur, Jodhpur and Jaisalmer was flagged off on 20 Feb from Garhi Cantonment of Udhampur. This is the third time that such a motivational tour under Operation Sadbhavana is being organised for elderly persons of Udhampur region, many of them who have never ventured beyond Jammu and some even not ventured beyond Udhampur.
The tour is organised under Operation Sadbhavana of the Army with a total 30 elderly persons undertaking the trip from Udhampur to Jaipur, Jodhpur and Jaisalmer. The tour, which is being organised by 71 Sub Area under the aegis of Headquarter Northern Command, will conclude at Udhampur on 28 Feb 2011.
During the tour these elderly persons will visit numerous interesting spots of tourist, cultural and historical interest. Some of them are Jantar Mantar, City Place, Govind Dev Ji Ka Mandir, Hawa Mahal, Amer Fort, Nahargarh and Jaigarh (all in Jaipur) ; Mahrangarh Fort, Ummed Bhawan Place and Mandore Garden (all in Jodhpur); Jaisalmer Fort, Patvo Ki Haveli, Sun Set at Sum, Garsisar Lake (all in Jaisalmer).
It is hoped that this trip will provide first hand insight to all the elders of the vast and rich heritage of our country to include language, food, habitat and customs and provide fresh perspective to them of our large and strong nation.
