Jammu, Feb 20: A placement drive was conducted at Government College of Engineering & Technology, Jammu between 18-20 Feb, 2011. Two multinational companies namely Fujitsu Consulting India and Capgemini India Pvt. Ltd participated in this placement dive
.More than 800 students from various colleges of state participated in this event. Around 82 students from 2009 and 2010 batch of pass-out Engineers and MCA students were selected in Capgemini and 47 students of final year engineering and MCA students were placed in Fujitsu.
Madhav kulkarni, Vice president of Capgemini India was also present during this drive along with all the other HR people from both the companies.
Varun Sahni VC Jammu University was also present at this function. The offer letters were distributed to all the select students.
The others present in this function were Dr. Bhopinder Singh (Principal GCET), Mrs. Anjali Thusoo (Placement Officer, GCET) and all the Heads of Departments of GCET. A lot of MNCs and public sectors have been visiting GCET for recruitment of both freshers and pass-out batches of students from various professional courses."
