Medical camp organized under Operation Sadhbhawana | | | Early Times Report Chilli, Feb 20: A mega medical camp was organized by the Rashtriya Rifles Battalion at Village Chilli in Doda District as part of the ongoing ‘Operation Sadhbhavana’. The camp was inaugurated by the Sarpanch of the village Ummardin and BJP leader Jaswant Singh Manhas. It was yet another splendid effort by the battalion to provide comprehensive health care to local population. The camp was attended by a large number of patients from adjoining hamlets. A total of 533 patients were examined and treated including 268 male, 233 female and 32 children. The camp was aimed at screening of medical problems, treating ailments and creating health awareness among the local people. Special emphasis was laid on maternal and child health which included issues like antenatal care, breast feeding, family planning and personal hygiene. People were educated about lifestyle disorders and simple methods to avoid them it. The remarkable efforts of Thatri Battalion to extend such an expertise level of medical health activities in such a remote area of Doda District were appreciated by all. A host of Army and civil doctors treated the patients. Civil administration rendered their full support to the army to make the medical camp a grand success.
