Lakeer heading towards 50 successful days

JAMMU: Pahari feature film, Lakeer, running ever so successfully, in spite of 6 weeks, and as per the audience reaction, it is most likely to head towards yet another successful week. Even though the film has been running for over a considerable long duration, there has not been any decline in the number of the people turning up to see the film.
The film has successfully completed 6th week with tremendous number of viewers thronging the Hari Theatre along with their families and friends. In view of surging public demand, the Film is entering 7th week within few days . Besides viewers coming from different parts of the State, it has also been watched by viewers coming from outside the state. The theater is being visited to see the film by bureaucrates, legislators, and other prominent citizens coupled with mammoth rush of students from school and colleges.
Madan Lal Sharma, Member Parliament, today honoured the show with his gracious presence in spite of his ever busy schedule.
He said ‘the film was very emotional and I found hard to not to feel close to tears on more than one scenes. I am glad that such good films are being made on local platform and I congratulate Mr Shiv Dutt for his brilliant efforts ‘. He was accompanied by Surnider Singh Shingari, ex Corporate. Many other prominent personalities, such as, T S Wazir, MLC watched the show today and appreciated the film with much generosity.
Shabbir Mujahid, Director Doordarshan Jammu also complimented the film on its technical aspect and expects that the film must be an entry for the national awards. Prof Lalit Magotra, President Dogri Sanstha, said the film is beyond his expectations and had a long successful way to go. All the dignitaries saw the film among the heavy crowd.
In reaction to today’s prestigious gathering, Shiv Dutt, Director ‘Lakeer’, said he was highly thankful to the prestigious viewers and felt overwhelmed by the public reaction
