Saints, Gurus laid foundations for harmonious living: Dy CM | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Feb 20: Paying rich tributes to Gura Ravi Dass on his 634th Birth anniversary, the Deputy Chief Minister Tara Chand said that this great saint has always preached for welfare of mankind and shown the path of truthfulness, honesty and justice for spending a prosperous life in the world. Addressing a mammoth congregation assembled to celebrate the birth anniversary of Guru Ravi Dass at Pucca Talab Jammu today, the Deputy Chief Minister called upon the people to follow the path shown by this great saint for making the State a prosperous one. Tara Chand said that great saints and gurus born in India have laid strong edifice for harmonious living by preaching humanistic values of love, truth and piety. The Deputy Chief Minister said that the Guru Ravi Dass Ji was a great champion of equality and human dignity. He said real human being must have sympathy towards poor and weak and he must think beyond his personal interest and develop compassion towards all forms of life. Responding to the demands put forth by the locals, the Deputy Chief Minister issued that all genuine demands of the area would be fulfilled. He asked concerned authorities to organized training camps for self help groups of the area and ensure providing of loans to the desired ones for establishment of their generating units.
