Nand Public School celebrates annual day | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Feb 20: Minister for Youth Services and Sports, Prof R S Chib has underscored the need for imparting quality and moral education to the students, which he said is pre-requisite for all-round development of the State. Addressing the annual day cum prize distribution function of Nand Public Higher Secondary School, Bantalab here today, the Minister called upon teaching community to chisel the future builders of the nation with modern, vocational and moral education to compete them with modern challenges. Referring to unity in diversity in country as well as in the state, the Minister said that unity is the secret of prosperity of the State. Prof. Chib complemented the school management for imparting the students with latest trends of education and hoped that they would continue their endeavours in future also to mould the students with quality and vocational education. The Minister called upon private educational institutions to provide free educational facilities to the poor students so that they could also compete with other students while facing the competitive examinations for getting their jobs in Government and semi-government. The Minister distributed prizes among the students who excelled in curricular and co-curricular activities during the year. Principal of the School in his address highlighted various achievements registered by the institution in curricular and co-curricular activities during the last academic session. On the occasion, the students of the institutions presented a colourful cultural programme which mesmerized the audience and appreciated everyone.
