Red cards for `fighting’
Irritated over the misconduct by two players, centre referee, Moon Madan today punished fighting defenders with red cards. “The game was going smoothly when all of a sudden, Pankaj of Young Hero and Zahid of Engineers XI started fighting right in the centre of the field thereby offending the referee to take action,” a member of the organizing committee of the tournament told SAN While Zahid of the losing team hardly has any effect with the card shown to him, Pankaj will not be able to play the next game.
