| Bar strike in courts today | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Srinagar, Feb 21 : The Kashmir Bar Association has decided to abstain from attending the courts on Tuesday against what it called human rights violations in Jammu and Kashmir and to show solidarity with its incarcerated President and General Secretary.
In a statement a Bar spokesman said, “While taking cognizance of continued Human Right Violations and denial of Civil Liberation, and to show solidarity with incarcerated political detenues especially Bar President Mian Abdul Qayoom and General Secretary G N Shaheen, the Bar has decided to abstain from attending courts on 22.02.2011.”
