| Two-day district level Science exhibition concludes | | |

A 2-day District Level Science Exhibition organized by the DIET concluded here today with a prize distribution function presided over by the Joint Director Trainings Jammu J K Arora. The District Development Commissioner had inaugurated the exhibition yesterday.
The students of various schools of the district had put up 64 models in three different categories of elementary, secondary and higher secondary .At elementary level 25 models were put up while at secondary and higher secondary levels the models put up were 25 and 14 respectively.
In elementary level competition, Government Middle School Boys Surankot bagged the first prize, Government High School Dehri Sahib and Government Middle School Banwat bagged second and three prizes respectively.
At secondary level SDHS Geeta Bhavan secured first, Government High school Chandak and Raza-ul-Uloom bagged second and third positions respectively.
Similarly, at the Higher Secondary Level the model of Nanak Academy Poonch bagged the first prize, while the models of Government Higher Secondary school Chandak and Government Boys Higher Secondary Surankot won 2nd and third position respectively. Consolation prizes were also given to all the categories of models.
Chief Guest Arora distributed prizes to the winners and appreciated the keen interest shown by the students in exhibiting their models on different aspects.
On this occasion, a cultural program and a district level Science Quiz were also organized. Principal DIET H L Razdan presented vote of thanks.
