Government to take stern action against black-marketing of CAPD ration-Akhoon | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu Jan 21: The government will take stern action against the black marketing and those indulging in the selling of ration in black.No leniency will be shown to any person indulging in selling of ration in black.This was stated by Consumer affair and public distribution(CAPD)& transport minister Oumar Ali Akhoon while talking to reporters at the sidelights of a function organised by Samaj Behbood Union here today. The minister said that efforts will be made to rejuvenate CAPD and transport departments in the state and in this regard many efforts have already taken by the state government. The minister said that a departmental inquiry has been initiated to probe the ration bungling in Kathua and DC has been ordered to appoint an officer to head the committee.He said that after the submission of the report the person found guilty will be punished how influential he may be. Mr. Akhoon said the government will not allow anybody to misuse his official position.He said already steps were initiated to ensure better supply of ration at CAPD department, ensure its quality and timely supply. He said to check the pilferage of ration, the uniform supply of wheat for grinding millers of the state and there will be no favouritism in this regard.Besides the supply and lifting of ration has been given to SRTC to ensure proper distribution and arrest the black marketing .This will also ensure revenue to SRTC ,he added. Mr Akhoon said SRTC wiil have entire responsibility of the distribution system and in case need be they will hire the private vehicles for supply of ration.This wiil end the monopoly of the department and it has no role to play in the hiring of private vehicles for supply of ration.The minister said that instructions have been given for supply of additional ration in winter capital during the move period in Jammu to meet the additional need of move employees.Likewise additional raion will also be supplied in Kashmir valley to meet the need of employees after the darbar move ,he added.
