| Awaiting DD official's transfer of 17 yrs! | | | early times report
Jammu, Feb 21: Thanks to her connections in Mandi House New Delhi, an executive producer of Doordarshan Srinagar has managed to evade routine transfers for the past 17 years.
According to report, an executive producer was transferred at least five times during her 17-year-service in the Srinagar station of Doordarshan. But every time her shifting to other stations in the country got cancelled on one pretext or the other.
The lady producer once again received transfer orders recently. This time she was destined to go to Dehradun station. But as usual she flew to New Delhi and the order was put in abeyance much to the annoyance of the officials who have been awaiting posting in Srinagar for decades together.
A disgruntled official citing precedents said an official on the verge of retirement is usually posted in their home town. |
