| 2-week familiarization, training program for NCC cadets concludes | | |
JAMMU, Nov 11 A 2-week long familiarization- cum- orientation training program organized by the Sunjwan Bridgade for NCC cadets concluded at Zorawar Stadium here today..
During the training program 90 NCC cadets were imparted practical training in handling weapons, tactics, field craft, a routine unit activities. In addition, a cricket match between the cadets and officers of Sunjwan brigade which was won by the latter. The cadets were also shown the profile of the state of the art weapons and equipment besides they were taken to the Air Force station where they witnessed modern aircrafts.
Speaking at the valedictory function, Brig RS Jamwal, Commander Sunjwan Brigade shared his rich experiences with the cadets and emphasized them to work hard and achieve the goal in life. He said that the exuberance and energy of the cadets can help the nation building by leaps and bounds and the nation is safe in their hands
Meanwhile, Brig Jamwal also inaugurated a room and lavatory at Government Girls Primary School, Sai Khurd , constructed under Operation Sadbhavana.
He said Army is helping the people living in border areas and encouraging children to continue their studies. Education plays a vital role in shaping the destiny of the students and every precaution is taken to mould their mind towards the right direction.
