| Harsh inaugurates skill development training programme | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
UDHAMPUR, Feb 23-The Member Legislative Assembly, Ramnagar, Harsh Dev Singh inaugurated skill development training programme in computer Ramnagar in District Udhampur last evening.
The programme envisages imparting training to 25 candidates of BPL group in Computer skill. The programme has been organized by District Urban Development Agency (DUDA) Udhampur.
Speaking on this occasion Mr Harsh Dev Singh highlighted the importance of organizing such programmes for training BPL candidates to help them earn independently. He said that “it is the need of hour that candidates especially belonging to BPL category should learn different skills and take part in economic development activities independently.
Project Officer District urban Development Agency (DUDA) Udhampur, Mr. Jaffer Abass told that all training expenditure will be borne by the agency during the programme and the students will also be given stipend amounting Rs 1200/- per candidate after the completion of the course. He further stated that DUDA Udhampur has organized various such skill development programmes in the district for the upliftment of the BPL youth from time to time.
