| Awareness programme on environment held | | | Early Times Report
UDHAMPUR, Feb 23: A teacher training-cum-national environmental awareness campaign-2010-11 was organised in Government Girls High School (GGHS) Ramnagar in district Udhampur in collaboration with W.W.F. and union ministry of environment.
According to handout issued here today, Zonal Education Officer (ZEO) Ramnagar Kaka Ram was the chief guest whereas headmaster Chander Prabha presided over. Kamal Singh and Dev Raj were the guests of honour at this occasion. Programme started with welcome address by Kritick and presentation by president Progressive Youth Society (PYS) O.P.Deepak.
Master Nirmal jandial presented lecture on biodiversity conservation with details of different species of living organisms on earth. She also briefed about history of biodiversity. Lastly, a very impressive rally was taken out in which teachers, students, forest officials and members of NGO participated alongwith banners chanting different slogans on Bio-Diversity conservation.
