| Alumini meet held | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Feb 23: Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Govt. Degree College Udhampur organised an Alumni meet in the college conference hall today.
The meet began with an invocation followed by welcome address by the Principal and Chairman IQAC of the college.
He outlined various developmental projects taken up by the college and acknowledged the contribution made by its various alumni towards its growth. “The college feels proud that its alumni have been serving in diverse fields and contributing immensely to the society”, he added.
The august gathering comprised of eminent academicians, judicial officers, doctors, artists, administrators, advocates, entrepreneurs and successful members of civil society. Musical performance by Anjana Sharma, a radio singer of repute enlivened and enthralled the meet.
An executive council of the alumni association was also elected by the alumni present. Balwant Singh Mankotia, is the President, Sham Kalsotra , the treasurer and A.S Rishi, Brij Mohan Sharma, Roshan Lal, K.K Kudyar, Sanjeev Dubey, Ravi Kesar and Karuna Sharma were elected as executive members with the principal of the college as the ex-officio secretary to carry on further activities.
The newly elected president in his address said alumni meet provides a platform to all the ex-students to get together and interact with each other.
