NSF continues protest against dictatorship of Police on JU campus

Jammu, Feb 23: Continuing protest against the authoritative rule of police inside the Jammu University campus, the protesting students and scholars are demanding enquiry into illegal detained NSF President and JURSEA president for four hours on Saturday.
The students and scholars of the different departments also boycotted their classes and joined the protest rally. They burnt the effigy of JK police and University authorities.
Meanwhile students of the different colleges included MAM College, Science College Akhnoor Degree College R S Pura Degree College also boycotted their classes against illegal detaining of NSF President.
The protesting scholars and students led by Surjit Choudhary chairman district unit, and Sukdev Singh state secretary NSF.
A large number of students and scholars assembled in the front of Center library under the banner of National Secular Forum, this morning and took out a big protest rally against the dictatorship of police personnel and anti- student’s attitude of Vice-Chancellor.
They said University authorities must explain as to why and how the police initiated action against the students and scholars inside the campus at their own. They expressed apprehension that University authorities had prompted the police to act brutally against the students to crush their movement.
Surjit Choudhary Chairman District Unit, has said that if there will be no enquiry there will be continuous boycott of the classes by the scholars and the students and University authorities would be responsible for that.
They warned that they would continue their protests till the Pro-Chancellor does not initiate action against culprit.
Among those who were present in the protest included, Ravi Choudhary, Rahul Sharma, Belveer Kumar, Sunil Kumar, Shafqat Malik, Mohd. Qayoom Malik, Layaqat Ali Khan, NarinderSingh, Sri Ram, Manu, Sandeep Singh and others.
