| JKNPP objects on 2 RTO office working | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Feb 24: The Panthers party has strongly objected to the order passed by the Transport Minister Kamar Ali Akhoon that the office of
RTO Jammu would function simultaneously at two places i.e. new building of RTO at Transport Nagar, Old office at Ware house Jammu.
This order is very arbitrary as people have to go to two different places KMS apart for their routine work. The new office complex will
host branches like registration and other at transport Nagar where as the other office would host branches like Board of Inspection (BOI),
Jammu new and old vehicles (commercial).
The party quoted the statement of the transport minister who had declared the old office at Ware house unsafe and if the work is continued at this complex there may be danger of building collapse and putting in the lives of commoners as well as employees in danger.
Shanker Singh Chib, President District Jammu rural JKNPP, have appealed to the CM to hold this order at abeyance and let the RTO office work only at transport Nagar and if bifurcated it may cause
great hardships to the people engaged in the transport.
