Jammu, Feb 24:- Stating that equitable development is cornerstone of development policy, Minister for Industries and Commerce, Surjeet Singh Salathia has said the coalition government is focused to bring socio economic transformer in the State.
Addressing a largely public meeting at Kamore Camp, the Minister said that Government is seized of the problems being faced by the people living in far-flung and border areas.
Responding to the demands of the people, he directed the concerned authorities to immediately construct the Nallah and lanes in the area. He assured black topping of the road will be completed before mid of May, and old age pension cases will be resolved within a stipulated time.
Earlier, the Minister appealed the people of the Border Area to strengthen the hands of the Government by participating at large scale in forth coming panchayat elections. He asked them to elect honest and dedicated representatives through elections, who redress their development needs, besides espouse their cases at different levels of the administration.
Among others, XEN, PHE, PDD, R&B, ACD Samba, BDO Vijaypur and various officers of the district Samba were present in the meeting.
