| Football: Forest XI beat Vijay Club 2-0 | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, February 25: Forest XI today entered into the final of 2nd Sher-e-Kashmir Gold Cup Football Tournament outplaying Vijay Club by two goals to nil in the semi-finals played today at GGM Science College ground, here.
Wasim Yususf and Toufeeq were the scorers, who netted the ball in 11th and 70th minute of the match respectively. Vijay Club put in great efforts to equalize the score in the first half but success eluded them.
For their foul play three yellow cards were shown in this 90-minute game. While Ashiq of Forest was punished for his wrong doing in the 76th minute, Vinay and Tanpreet were shown yellow cards in the 24th and 53rd minute respectively. Sanjay Gupta of Vijay Club also shown yellow in 87th minute.
This match was officiated by Suresh Gupta, Moon Madan, Ronny Yellow and Rajib Dev.
Meanwhile, according to organizing secretary of the tournament, Surinder Singh Bunty, the final shall be played on a later date.
