| Jammu Sports-A enters QFs of Rajiv Football | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, February 25: Jammu Sports-A today sailed into the quarterfinals of the Ist Rajiv Gandhi Gold Cup Football Tournament, organised by All J&K Indira Gandhi People’s Association at GGM Science College, here.
In this second round tie, Jammu Sports-A trounced NGR Club by a solitary goal. The only goal of the match came through Jammu Sports young star striker, Davian in the 37th minute.
Earlier, first half of the match remained barren and soon after second half play begun, Davian converted a pass he got from right-off into goal.
Later, a yellow card was shown to NGR forward, Razza in the 57th minute for his misconduct.
Now, Jammu Sports-A shall face the professional side of J&K Bank in the quarterfinals scheduled to be played on February 27 at 2.30 pm.
Today’s match was officiated by Muzzaffar, Rakesh Kumar, Farooq Ahmed and Hilal Ahmed.
FIXTURE: Young Hero to take on Vijay Club at 11 am; Churchill Brothers shall lock horns against Param Football Club at 1 pm; R&B to meet Young Rovers at 2.30 pm.
