| HPA extends support to agitating physiotherapists | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Feb 24: Haryana Physiotherapist Association (HPA) has extended full support to the agitating physiotherapists of Jammu and Kashmir.
Addressing a press conference here today, Dr.Jagat said that there are 40 million unemployed youth in our country. He said that according to Human Development Index report of 2009-2010, there has been 9.4 percent increase in unemployment and there are 9 lakh Physiotherapist unemployed all over India,
He said that physiotherapists have been demanding comprehensive employment policy alongside seeking creation of Physiotherapy Council of India to regulate the profession in the whole country. He condemned lathicharge on the agitating physiotherapist and he said that cops are being specially trained to suppress them.
He assured JKPA that HPA is always with them and will launch a joint nationwide agitation. Meanwhile, BJP MLAs Ashok Khajuria and Sham Chowdhary visited Dharna site and condemned lathicharge on JKPA members.
