| 2 ration depot holders arrested | | |
UDHAMPUR| NOV 9 Two ration depot holders and a shopkeeper were arrested by the police who were selling below poverty line (BPL) ration in black. According to reports on a tip off police party led by Dy. SP HQs Amit Gupta raided the ration depots and arrested the owners red-handed, while selling the B.P.L ration in black, ad on spot recovered 50 qtls of rice. A case against the depot holder has been registered. As per source the arrested person identifying as Ram Lal S/o Badrinath resident of Patrai, Udhampur, and Jugal Ksihore S/o Ram Lal of Ram Nagar used to sell it to a shopkeeper Nand Lal of Kho - Nallah, who too have been arrested. The ration was provided to the depot holders for the people living below poverty line. The police also arrested a driver and recovered one kg of Bhuki form him from the truck No JK02AC-1737 at Udhampur during checking. The driver has been identified as Padamjeet Singh of Jammu. The also arrested Inder Singh of Marote, Udhampur and recovered 50 packets of liquor form him.
