| Gurmat , Amrit Sanchar Samagam organized | | | SAMBA | NOV 11
A Gurmat and Amrit Sanchar Samagam was organized jointly by Sikh Sangat and Sr. vice president of district Gurdwara Prabandhak Committee, Sardar Jarnmail Singh Khalsa here today.
The Samagam was attended by large number of Sikhs and leader so various Sikh organizations. The Amrit Sanchar was arranged by the Panj Pyaraas of Akal Takht Sahib, Amritsar and from Shri Anandpur Sahib. Special invitees on the occasion were Jathdar Avtar Singh, President Shiromani Gurdwara Prabandhak and Mahant Manjeet Singh of Dera Nangali Sahib Poonch.
While addressing the gathering S. Avtar Singh president of SGPC Amritsar said that he has visited 13 Indian states and 2 foreign countries during his one year tenure and server the Amrit Samachar to 1.50 lakh peoples. He also said that his aim is to serve the Sikh Sangat on purely religious basis without including politics in the religion. He also announced Rs. 2.50 lakhs for the Gurdwara’s in tehsil Samba for completing the incomplete buildings. He appreciates the role of Mahant Manjeet Singh in the every fields of life including religious education, education and technical education.
In his address Mahant Manjeet Singh stressed upon the Sikh Sangat to become Amrit Dhari and adopt the path shown by the Ten Guru’s. He also announced to donate and handover the 2 kanals of land to SGPC Amritsar for making an office building to preach the Sikhism ad sikh mission on the demand of the president SGPC Amritsar. Mahant Ji further said that both SGPC Dera Nangali Sahib jointly preach the Sikhism in the J&K state in future. The leaders of the sikh organization and member of DGPC who also participated spoke on the occasion were S. Swarn Singh Khalsa incharge Sikh Mission J&K S. Amrik Singh and Satinder Pal Singh and Sethi members of DGPC Jammu.
