| PHALGAM, Feb. 25: The scenic beauty of Kashmir Valley has once again attracted the attention of Bollywood stars. Actor Ranbir Kapoor is busy in shooting for his film rockstar at Pahalgam. Apart from Ranbir Kapoor, the film's actress Nargis and director Imtiaz Ali were also spotted at the tourist destination in Pahalgam. Film unit, comprising of over 40 people, arrived here on Thursday, remaining pre-occupied with the shooting in Betab Valley and Auru. Stars chose Betab Valley and Auru Slopes for shooting. About 2000 enthusiastic villagers thronged the spot to witness the film shooting. Happiness was visible among the people, as they saw a ray of hope towards the revival of tourist industry. ‘It is great to see the stars here,” said Mohammad Ramzan a villager, who has been associated with tourism industry for nearly two decades. Locals and tourism related people are very happy. They said that Valley is known for its beauty and it is very cheap to shoot here as the film unit doesn't require any artificial set. They said arrival of film unit in Valley is a big achievement for Kashmiri people. “Definitely a message will go to the rest of the world that the 'situation' has changed a lot,” they said. Large number of people arrived at Pahalgam to have a glimpse of the stars present there. Incidentally, Ranbir's father Rishi Kapoor had shot his first film as a hero BOBBY in Kashmir as well. Jammu, February 25: Shree Tanjore Art Gallery (STAG) held a press conference to describe about the new techniques they have adopted to redefine art. Adrdessing the media persons, Director STAG Alka Goel- a painter and a gold medalist in mathematics said that she has experimented with the ancient South Indian tanjore paintings by infusing her ideas of blending them with traditional North Indian style patterns.
She added that she had conducted the fusion of her painting titled ‘Vishva Vinayaka’ with hues of black and dark brown to give it a new look. She said that traditional Bengali face ‘Jagad Janani’ is a credit to her art.
