| Colorful Presentations mark Day Two of the Virasat e- Riyasat | | | Early Times Report

Colourful Presentations on Folk dance and Folk Theater by participating teams were the highlight of the second day, in the three day long cultural bonanza Virasar I Riyasat being organized by the Jammu University. The performances by the participating teams were received very well by the audience in spite of the fact they were in regional languages. The Theater item of Kashmir University highlighting the need for communal unity and brotherhood was very well received and applauded by the Students. The items of Jammu University which focused on social evils of corruption and dowry depicted in a unique way of Tantric and evil concept was appreciated by one and all. The three day long festival also saw a high level of Camaraderie among student troupes of various State universities. Silvia Sahni, Prof Varun Sanhi VC JU presided over the first session while Prof Irshad Hamal VC BGSBU was the Chief Guest in the Folk Theater section.
The Festival will conclude today where CM Omar Abdullah shall also inter act with the visiting cultural teams. Eight Universities and Institutions of the State are taking part in the festival being organized to preserve and promote the rich cultural heritage of the State among the younger generation.\
