‘Paying Guest’ presents laughter riot for audience

Jammu, Feb 25: Keeping the ritual of realistic theater to its presenting best, Nav Durga Kala Manch today performed yet another strong presentation in “Paying Guest’- a meaningful comedy touching the human intricacies.
A plot revolving around the core theme of subject that was based on the paying guest culture, the trio in Aaditya Bhanu, Reetu Manhas and Dilshad Shazi came up with a lively performance that took sizeable audience gathered at Performing Art Studio to surprising satisfactions.
How a mean person tackles two lovebirds in isolation while giving them same room for rent on different hours of the day and night was the gist of the play that projected the contemporary settings of the human philosophies which were enacted to their potential best by all of the three.
Rahul (Aaditya) who played a professional entrepreneur falls in love with Divya ( Reetu) unknowingly that both are being manipulated by the same landlord who had rented both the same room for different hours.
Dilshad Shazi (Pahalwan Singh), the mean landlord displayed his acting prowess to the potential best and gathered thunderous applause.
The play was written and directed by Aaditya Bhanu himself , to whose credit many good performances already stand.
Vikram Sharma, a senior journalist and renowned theatrist, being chief guest on the occasion, spoke high about the ventures undertaken by Aaditya in keeping the tradition of regular theater in Jammu alive.
Many prominent theatrists including Shashi Bhushan, T S Premee, Kumar A Bharti, Umesh Singh were present on the occasion
