| Khajuria demands construction of a cold storage at Chenani | | | UDHAMPUR-11 Hailing the achievements registered under different sectors during the last one year rule of Congress led Government in the state, former Minister and Vice President J&K Pradesh Congress Committee Yash Paul Khajuria has demanded up gradation of Middle school Bast, accelerating the pace of development works and improvement in horticulture and agriculture sectors in Udhampur district. He was addressing a series of public meetings at several villages including Bast, Sudh Mahadev, Koushsaar, Manntalai, Saladd and Seera in the district. ‘Saying that Chenani block is rich in producing vegetables especially tomatoes but regretted that the farmers were not getting reasonable rates for their produce. He stressed the need for construction of a cold storage at Chenani besides establishing a tomato sauce plant in the area .He also voiced demand for promotion of tomato farms in the area besides taking up horticulture activities in a big way as also supply of vegetable seeds and fertilizers to the farmers. Khajuria said the coalition government has been making progress on all fronts, ensuring equitable development of all the regions and added that since Azad took over as Chief Minister the State witnessed a sea change in the functioning of the state administration. He demanded construction of tractor road from Tamato mod to Bast and acceleration of pace of work on other link roads in Chenani block. Others who accompanied Khajuria included Geeta Devi General Secretary PCC and Krishan Chand Bhagat working President DDC Udhampur.
