Modern training, logistics essential for better policing: DGP | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Feb 26: Director General of Police (DGP) Kuldeep Khoda has said that training and logistics are two essential aspects of better professional policing. He said that Jammu and Kashmir Police is focusing on sharpening training skills of its jawans to ensure law and order without causing damage to civilians and the jawans. Khoda disclosed this while inspecting the Police Training Centre, Sunjawan here today. He said that after combating militancy in the state, JKP is now focusing on ensuring peace and normalcy in the entire state. To achieve better results, Organization is imparting crowd control training to the jawans and officers in various police training institutions and by end of March this year, five battalions of IRP would be ready for this purpose, he added. He said that our priority would be ensuring least damage to the civilians as well as jawans of the force while dealing with law and order situations. Department has procured latest devised non lethal weapons which would be used in crowed controlling. Besides this body protection equipments would be provided to the jawans while controlling the violent mobs to avoid any injury to them. Khoda, who was accompanied by Additional Director General of Police, Armed/Law and Order, K. Rajendra Kumar and IGP Armed, Jammu, Ravinder Kotwal inspected the mock drill presented by the trainees. He stressed upon the trainers to work with more zeal and make the trainees perfect in the field of crowed control. He also enquired from the trainees about their welfare and asked the officers to ensure better living facilities to the trainees and the staff.
