| VOJ presents challan against Patwari | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Feb-26 :- State Vigilance Organization today presented challan against Altaf Ahmad Halqa Kandi Tehsil Kotranka who was caught red-handed as claimed by the SVO and recovered bribe Amount Rs 1500/-.
In the challan it has been mentioned that complainant Mohd Arif lodged a written complaint with the VOJ against Patwari in which complainant submitted that the Patwari demanded illegal gratification for the revenue record. Upon this VOJ registered a case and constituted a trap to laid trap.
According to the challan the complainant that the Patwari Altaf Ahmed of Halqa Kandi who demanded and accepted bribe money for Rs 1500 from him and took out his purse and back pocket of his pant and asked the complainant to put the said bribe money in his purse. After that the Patwari kept back his purse in his back pocket of his pant and handed over the papers to the complainant. On witnessing the movement of Vigilance Team, the Patwari rushed into near by shop as soon as the trap team entered the shop, the said Patwari entered into the cabin of the said shop and opened his purse by right hand and from his person he took out the bribe money by his left hand and threw into the box containing toffees etc. The Trap team asked the Patwari to raise his hands on spot was asked to dip his right hand in the solution and on this doing so the colour of the solution did not changed. Thereafter the Patwari Altaf Ahmad Bhat was directed to dip his left hand and the colour of the solution turned pink and was arrested and recovered the money. After completion of the investigation challan, the sanction was obtained from the competent authority and presented challan in the Court of Special Judge Anticorruption Jammu. JNF
