2 days ahead of budget session | Congress yet to convene legislative party meet | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Srinagar, Feb 26 : Two days ahead of budged session of Assembly, National Conference, Peoples Democratic Party and BJP called legislative party meetings since last few days to chalk out their strategies for the session. However, surprisingly, Congress hasn’t called the legislative party meeting yet. While senior Congress leader, Abdul Gani Vakil termed it as ‘unfortunate’ for the party saying Congress is divided in the state, Minister for PHE and senior leader, Taj Mohi-ud-Din downplayed it. “We will call the legislative party meeting after the governor’s address to both houses on February 28. As our legislative party leader, Choudhary Aslam isn’t feeling well, we have to nominate a new leader. It may take some days,” Taj told KNS. However, Vakil said it points towards internal bickering in state Congress. “State Congress is divided and that is the reason why meeting couldn’t be called in time,” he said.
