DIG distributes uniforms among needy students | | | Early Times Report UDHAMPUR, Feb 26: In order to achieve positive results in bridging the gap between the public and police, Deputy Inspector General of Police Udhampur-Reasi Range, Jagjit Kumar accompanied by Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Udhampur Surinder Gupta distributed uniforms and shoes among the students of Government Middle School, Jakhani of district Udhampur here today. On the occasion, uniforms and shoes among 32 poor and needy students belonging to socially and economically weaker section of the society under Civic Action Plan of J& K police were distributed to strengthen the police -public relations. Interacting with the students, DIG said that all around development of students and society generally depends upon quality education. Jagjit said that police is always at the disposal of public for providing any assistance. He advised the students to keep them selves away from the bad habits other social evils for maintaining a healthy and prosperous society. SSP said that co-curricular activities including sports are integral part of a student life and added that such activities make a student mentally strong and physically fit which further help them to channelize their enormous creative energy for constructive activities, he added.
