Civil, police administration provide relief to passengers on NH

UDHAMPUR, FEB 26: To provide relief and medicare facilities to stranded passengers and on National Highway, District Police and Civil Administration have deployed various teams right up to Patnitop in the jurisdiction of district Udhampur.
The team of Revenue, Police, Health and Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution Departments has jointly carried out relief operation at Chenani, Kud and Patnitop for the assistance of the passengers, today. Teams of health department attended to the ailing persons and provided treatment to 170 passengers by distributing free medicines till the last report came in.
DIG Udhampur-Reasi Range, Jagjeet Kumar, Deputy Commissioner, Baseer Ahmed Khan and SSP Udhampur, Surinder Gupta are closely moniting the relief operation. Directions have been issued to officers of CAPD to keep adequate stock of ration and kerosene at vintage points to meet the requirements besides checking rates of essentials.
