| Arguments in killing of Air-Force personnel partly heard | | | Jammu, Nov 11 Presiding Officer TADA Court Wani ND today heard arguments on framing charges in killing of five air-force personnel in January 1990 at Batmaloo Srinagar. During the hearing, JKLF Chief Mohemmed Yaseen Malik, Sowkat Ahmed Bakshi, Ali Mohmmed Mir, Manzoor Ahmed Sofi, Javid Mir alias Nalka, Mohd Rafiq alias Nanaji, Mehraj-ud-din Sheikh, Javid Zargar were present in the Court. Sr. Advocate Z A Shah with Advocates Yogesh Bakshi and Vipin Gandotra appearing for the accused persons and Special Public Prosecutors appearing for the CBI has argued on the stage of framing charge/discharge. Court after hearing arguments in part adjourned and fixed December 26 as next date for hearing. Farooq Ahmed Dar alias Bitta Karate, who was one of the accused in Misuma attack case in which one civilian Mohammed Shafi Dar was killed and BSF personnel were injured was also present in the court of TADA. This case was also adjourned again.. It is worthwhile to mention that these cases investigated by the CBI are pending before the court for framing charges for the more than last 15 years against the accused including the case of kidnapping of Dr. Rubiya Syed d/o Mufti Mohammed Sayed, the then Home Minister of India and former Chief Minister of J&K State. |
