| DIC IPO held accepting bribe | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Feb 26: An industrial promotion officer (IPO) of district industries centre (DIC), Srinagar, was today arrested by state vigilance organisation (SVO) in a corruption case.
SVO sources said Rouf Ahmad Taka of Bagwanpora Barbershah, Srinagar, lodged a written report with SVO, alleging that IPO Ghulam Nabi Sheikh was demanding Rs 1,000 from him as bribe for issuing
registration certificate of his unit -- Micro Enterprises. Acting on the complaint, SVO sleuths today laid a trap and arrested
the IPO while allegedly demanding and accepting the bribe of Rs 1,000, the sources added.
A case was registered under different sections of law.
