Soz imparts unity lesson to Kashmiris | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT SRINAGAR, Feb 26: State Congress President, Prof Saif-ud-Din Soz, Saturday said that his party was on forefront in facilitating dialogue between India, Pakistan and people of Jammu and Kashmir. Addressing a rally at Chipora Lolab in Kupwara, Soz said, "My personal opinion is that Kashmiris should talk in once voice with New Delhi to resolve the political imbroglio in the state. In the larger interests of the people, political leadership including Hurriyat should gather courage to talk in one voice whatever the dimensions of the political situation in the state." Soz said peoples' interests should be given paramount importance so that achievable goal could be reached. "If people of Kashmir won't sink their differences and talk in one voice, the dialogue process could get impaired and the events will over take them," he asserted. Soz asked the people to participate in large numbers in the ensuing Panchayat elections. "Identify honesty and dedicated persons including women and help them to win," he said. He assured the people that administration would be alerted to help the stranded passe4ngers of Machil, Tanghdar and other remote areas to travel to and fro to Kashmir through sorties by helicopters. |
