Wu-Shu Star Sandya to compete in Police Games | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Feb 27: Known as golden girl of Wu-Shu, Sandya Rani of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) shall be arriving Jammu tomorrow for participation in the 59th All India Police Games (Wrestling Cluster) hosted by Jammu and Kashmir Police from March one at different venues here. A silver medalist in the 16th China Asian Games and gold medal winner in the 11th SAF Games held at Dhaka in Bangladesh, Sandya will be star attraction in the Police Games. She represents CRPF in boxing event. Since a few women practice boxing in forces, the CRPF decided to field Sandya in boxing team to use her experience. Meanwhile, Jammu and Kashmir Wu-Shu Association has decided to felicitate the star. “We have decided to felicitate visiting golden girl of Wu-Shu during her stay in Jammu. I have already discussed with top office bearers of the Association, S Owais and HK Lohia in this regard,” general secretary of the Association and coach of the Indian Wu-Shu team, Inspector Kuldeep Handoo told SAN. It is pertinent to mention here that Kuldeep Handoo accompanied the Indian Wu-Shu team as coach in both the events wherein Sandya excelled. ------
