French Club distributes gifts among Bal Niketan inmates | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Feb 27: French Club of Jammu and Kashmir organized an impressive function at Bal Niketan, Ambphalla here today in which various items including things of daily use, sports kits and eatables were distributed among the children by the Chief Guest, Inspector General of Police, Dilbagh Singh. A total of 138 young children from the different parts of the state affected by the terrorism are living in the Ved Mandir Bal Niketan at Ambphalla, Jammu. The function also had various items presented by children of Bal Niketan that included, Dogri songs and folk items. Members of French club also sung on the tune of guitar. Dilbagh Singh who was enthralled by the children’s performance said that he was amazed that children who are living in orphanage and do not enjoy such facilities that are being enjoyed by the children living with their parents, are so talented. Singh said that he would like to organize a picnic and fun activities soon for the children living in the orphanage. Captain Purshottam Sharma, vice president of the Ved Mandir Bal Niketan highlighted the role of the orphanage in the overall development of personalities of the children living there.
